Co-Owner of JW Thomas 

Jeff is a dedicated Custom Home Builder for JW Thomas, and is instrumental in Design Collaboration, Budget Management, Quality Control, Construction Oversight and Post-Construction Support. Jeff is a proud alumni from Northwest Missouri State University. Jeff has an extensive tenure in Residential Home Building, with over 10 years of experience under his belt. Jeff is particularly passionate about creating the highest quality, turn key, move in ready homes to create the best move in experience possible for our buyers. To date, Jeff has worked start to finish on over 250 homes in the Kansas City area. Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending times with his family. Jeff resides in Lone Jack with his wife Kerry, his daughter Anna, and their two dogs Auggie & Daisy. 

Co-Owner of JW Thomas 

Wes is a dedicated Custom Home Builder for JW Thomas, and is instrumental in Design Collaboration, Client Consultation, Project Management, Permitting and Regulations, Final Walkthroughs and Post-Construction Support. After earning a degree from Missouri State University, Wes began his career in Residential home building. With a background of over three years of Project Management, Wes has developed a strong expertise in every detail of Custom Home Building. Wes is particularly passionate about meeting with clients and working with them to create a home tailored to fit their lifestyle and needs. To date, Wes has worked start to finish on over 50 homes in the Kansas City area. Outside of work, Wes enjoys cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and spending quality time with his family and friends. Wes resides in Pleasant Hill with his wife Samantha, his son Luka, and their two German Shepherd’s Reya & Reign.

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Kerry is the organizational backbone of our company, overseeing all administrative functions and ensuring every moving part of the business works seamlessly together. From coordinating open houses and managing relationships with vendors, partners, and trade professionals to overseeing budgets and internal processes, Kerry keeps operations running efficiently and with intention.

She plays a key role in maintaining financial clarity, supporting team collaboration, and creating systems that allow each project to move forward smoothly. Her ability to balance big-picture oversight with day-to-day details ensures that timelines are respected, communication stays clear, and expectations are consistently met.

Kerry is also deeply invested in building a strong, connected team culture. Through thoughtful coordination and hands-on leadership, she helps create an environment where accountability, collaboration, and quality thrive—resulting in a better experience for both our team and our homeowners.

Her steady leadership and attention to detail help ensure that every client interaction and every project reflects our commitment to organization, transparency, and excellence.

Director of Marketing and Growth

Samantha leads brand strategy, client experience, and marketing for JW Thomas Custom Homes. With a deep passion for design, storytelling, and relationship-building, Samantha plays a key role in shaping how clients experience the JW Thomas brand—from first introduction to long after move-in day.

Samantha oversees brand development, marketing strategy, social media, events, partnerships, and client-facing initiatives, ensuring every touchpoint reflects the quality, intention, and craftsmanship behind each JW Thomas home. She is deeply involved in curating the client journey, helping homeowners feel informed, confident, and cared for throughout the custom build process.

As a vital part of the family-owned business, Samantha brings both a personal investment and a strategic vision to JW Thomas. Her goal is simple: to elevate the building experience, strengthen lasting relationships, and ensure every JW Thomas home feels as exceptional to live in as it is to look at.
